Engine shut down procedure

Throttle down engine to idle (SHIFT + , or .) You can leave it at idle for about a minutes to cool it before shutting it down. In EECH this only matters if you're planning on starting the engine again during the same mission. Once engine is at idle (gas turbine RPM of 60%), twice press the throttle down key (SHIFT + , or .) to position the throttle in the off position. This will make the engine shut down.
