The cannon can be aimed at a target using 3 methods. These methods follows the target acquisition systems:
HMS | EOS | RADAR |
Note the gun trail, which is heading in the direction of the aim of the current selected system.

Gravitational force do apply to cannon bullets, i.e. bullets will fall short at longer distances. To compensate for the amount of bullet drop the cannon has to alter its aim (somewhat higher). Hereby the value of distance is most important to have. There are 3 ways to gain a distance value over a target.

The first method used by the helicopter is triangulation. Hereby it gauges the angle, and obtain a distance by calculations. When selecting RADAR the distance value is more accurate, but it only updates once every radar sweep. LASER can measure the distance so precise it can give the absolute value in meters towards the target. This is often necessary for engagement with cannon rounds.
