Man Down Alarm

If a worker is left unconscious, injured or unable to call for help in a hazardous environment they could potentially die or suffer serious injury. Lone workers working at height (builders, surveyors, roofers), public-facing roles (retail, hospitality or security), community roles (social work or nursing) or mobile workers (delivery or lorry drivers) are particularly vulnerable when working alone in high-risk environments.

Keeping lone workers safe is essential for any business with a reliance on these types of employees. Without a system in place to alert team members or management if a lone worker is in danger, they may remain unaware until it’s too late.

Man Down Alarm helps prevent this from happening by providing a reliable system that detects when a lone worker falls and calls for help. It works using a tilt sensor that detects when the worker’s weight causes the device to move beyond a vertical position and initiates an internal countdown.

Should the worker fail to return to a vertical position within the ten second period, an emergency call will be made to our monitoring centre. Once the call is made, the worker can choose whether to cancel or continue the alert by pressing the red button on the device.
